Welcome to the Art world of Michael Hussey.

This site used to be many things. Originally it contained my custom fonts and graphic design, even a little motion graphics, with help from Finstad grant from St. Olaf College. That was also back when Flash came along and I happened to do a few experiments with that.

Then I got myself a business partner and we did wedding photography under the Too Many Artists name.  We shot a lot of film, in a more artistic style than most back then, using mainly medium format and 35mm film. Digital was just coming onto the scene and we did some combinations for a while, but my partner decided to go off to medical school. My interests, along with my ability to keep my drum scanner properly maintained, have waned since then as well. I do the occasional wedding still, but fine art is my focus these days.

I’ve defined Art in many ways over my lifetime, and only recently decided that I have a firm enough picture in my mind of what Art is, and what I want to do about it. Experimenting with all corners of the art world has shown me so much and been quite fun, but I’m settling in now, and in my own mind is where I need to be now. The world can be too distracting I think. This website will show evidence of that, as I don’t want to show just cohesive new projects, but I’ll be digging out some random old artwork here too.
